The theme for our next meeting is to bake either a bread product or something made with your own homemade pastry. I personally think this is our most challenging theme to date but please don’t be put off remember we are trying to encourage each other to try something new.
The meeting will take place in Murieston Village Hall at 8.15pm on the 27th February 2013. As always there will be a small charge of £2 towards the hall cost.

No sugar rush at Baking Club this time but plenty of carbohydrates!
Everyone agreed that our savoury bake theme was a real challenge and meant a search through the recipe books for some inspiration. Everyone did well and as you will see from the pictures below we had a lovely selection of bakes.

The next West Lothian Baking Club event will be held on Wednesday 18th April at 8pm in the Murieston Village Hall, Livingston.
It was decided at the last event that our theme would be Easter Chocolate. It’s another fairly open theme that will give you the opportunity to bring any baked item from your Easter repertoire perhaps Hot Cross Buns or a Simnel Cake or use up your Easter Chocolate by baking a chocolate cake, brownies or maybe choc chip cookies the possibilities are endless!
Please email WLBakingCLub@yahoo.co.uk to reserve a place and let us know by Friday 13th April what you are baking. I will update the website with a list of attendees and their bakes as I have them. We will aim to keep the numbers at around 20 so that there is plenty of opportunity to chat and get to know one another. Please note that as we pay £20 for the hire of the hall there will be a cost of £1 to £2 per person payable on the evening.
