It’s actually happening…

I’ve been talking for the last few months about trying to get a West Lothian Baking Club up and running and now there is a Facebook page and this is the first post on the website – how exciting!

The idea for the baking club has been inspired and somewhat copied from the success of the Edinburgh Cake Ladies. A group of woman (and a man) who meet on an adhoc basis to eat, discuss and generally enthuse about cake. As much as I enjoy the evenings in the town it made me wonder could we have something similar in West Lothian? A club that wasnt specifically about cake but about baking in general. I polled a few foodie friends and they all thought it could work so here I am with a website.

In the next few weeks I am looking to see whose interested, get suggestions on where and when we should meet and then we’ll take things from there.

So welcome and I really hope I get to meet you soon!

I’d be interested in joining. what a great idea. I’ve been making celebration cakes as well as cupcakes and cake pops for a few months & would love to meet up with other people who do the same or just enjoy baking. thanks Laura
